I'll condense my comment. Your wrapping takes after your father. Do you remember how he would line everything up exactly. No wasted paper, measure precisly, if 1/2inch of tape would do then heaven help you if you offered him 3/4 of an inch hada hada hada. Turned simply wrapping into hours. Gotta love him. Sorry you inherited that gene.
Good gift-wrapping is a good thing to be able to do. Great gift-wrapping is an art. It takes time and talent. Get over it... Mom.
